This is the machine used in the MRI room to pump the perfusion contrast agent into my arm during my Perfusion MRI. This machinery is special because it cannot be metallic. Metal is not allowed in the MRI room. Credit Cards would be destroyed by the electromagnetic field of the MRI machine, and metallic objects would be sucked into the MRI machine. So, this pump allows fluid to be quickly pushed into my arm, and it is built in such a way that it can operate in a room that has a large electromagnetic field.
