7 days after brain surgery, 2:46 AM. Yes, 2:46 AM. I had to wake all the time to take drugs, and I drank tons of Gatorade. The anti-swelling drug I was taking was a steroid, and that caused me to be tremendously thirsty. If I only drank water, I would wake every 15 minutes to drink more. Drinking Gatorade allowed me to sleep 1-2 hours before waking again for liquids. Much better.
